Hi, and welcome! I'm not sure what you are wondering. Your CCI plate looks authentic to me for sure. I imagine you have found it in the IDwiki: Coon Chicken Inn 2. Very nice find!

Thanks Susan! I just wanted to make sure mine was real. Any idea on price? What does something like this sell for on average?

Welcome to the RWCN!!!! We are glad you were able to find us !!! Your plate is really cool!

Regarding price, The RWCN is a forum that helps people identify logos, manufactures and dates, but we do not offer values on items. Why? Well, determining a value is a very complicated and prices are volatile. It is based on condition, age, manufacturer, usage, shape, decoration, specific manufacturer markings, location, desirability, availability, current date, weather, bank accounts, moods, internet connection, elections, economy, divorce settlements.. The list goes on and on. Any one of these variables can change a $5.00 item into a $150 item by one single auction with two hungry bidders with pockets deeper then their common sense and it will blow an average value right out of the water.

If you are looking for a general value, I suggest just searching the internet sites that sell Restaurant China, such as Ebay, Ruby Lane, Etsy and of course, the Restaurantware Shopping link at the top of this forum. Some value sites can be helpful but they do charge fees such as Worthpoint and Kovels. If you are looking for insurance purposes, there are some sites that will offer a fee based appraisal service and I believe a one or two of our members offer a fee based appraisal service but those people are not endorsed by the RWCN.

    Good Luck!

Thanks Paul! I'm a dealer so I wanted to make sure I wasn't asking to much for the platter. I've located several sites now.

No description of condition , is there alot of utensil wear ? Some Coon chicken china isn't rare and collectors can wait for decent almost mint pieces.

    Kathleen,

I would put it in near mint condition. I collect a lot of sports memorabilia so the rating system may be a little different. Surface shows some utensil wear, not a ton, and the bottom crown walls (not sure of the correct verbiage) show a few nicks. It’s obviously a used plate but in decent shape. What other information would a collector of this material need to know?

Near mint in restaurant china is where the piece looks virtually brand new. It would have only one or two light cut/wear marks. I rarely use "near mint" or "mint" with rw.

By your description, I would interpret your condition to be "good"
