    Default Fake Victor Mugs

Hi all, I posted some mugs on eBay (I have a ton more to do) and I received a question on the posting of the larger Victor mugs. I have never heard of Victor being faked be did some research. I am posting a link to the mugs in question. If they are fake I will end the listing (which I may do anyway)

Not fake. There seems to be a couple ebayers that are totally suspicious about fakes... everytime I list one, I get asked the same thing if they are fake or not.

That's like guys who claim it has to be fake because it is such fine shape, while fakers try hard to craze and wear things like the recent coca cola set....

Weird. Who would ever bother to fake a Victor mug? They certainly are wonderful but not wonderful enough to bother to fake them.

Why would anyone fake a Victor mug. Doesn't make sense. I've got many, I've never had a question about fake Victors.

I guess I don't get the "why" in faking the Victor mugs. What's the draw? They're not incredibly desirable.

Here is my take: They are too costly for Victor to make here in the states so they outsourced the mugs to China..The collectors now call the outsourced mugs "fakes"

I would say that Paul probably just nailed it.

I know there are lots of people who love the Victor mugs but again, like Steph said, I just don't see the desire to fake them. What Paul said would make so much more sense. Try to convince the buyers of that though, LOL.

I agree & considering that I originally purchased these mugs in 3 different state; Pa, NJ & NY the stamping is the same on all of them.
