Default how many Lobster Houses can there possible be?

call me naive, but I thought this one was going to be easy. Could this possibly be anything other than one of the myriad "Lobster House" restaurants? I've googled a few times, tried worthpoint, etc, but nothing really sticks out.

and I promise this is the last one I will burden you with today

173?! Oy. It's all a bit too daunting for me. If no one else has any better leads, I think I'll pass on attempting this ID for now...

Try searching Google for lobster house matchbook covers. I would guess that logo got used on more than plates.

I'd say South Carolina has a better chance of obtaining fresh lobster than Minneapolis, Minnesota:

That didn't stop Dutro's from becoming locally famous and even having a lobster topmark.

There was a Lobster House in Boston which appears to have had 2 locations, pretty obscure & long out of business.

There's one in Cape May which is still in business, and on their website they do show a modern day top-marked custom plate, but totally different from this one.

I've exhausted my search. That's all I got to give! I gots no more....
Back on the shelf it goes....

    Really?

I would think that you'd have just as much luck selling it without the exact place... I don't think that in this case a perfect ID would matter much?

I have no plans to sell it. I'm keeping this one. The curiosity of it as I pass by that display shelf was getting to me!! lol
I just want to know for my own personal appreciation of the piece.

    You'll find a match. It's very distinctive.

That makes more sense now! For some reason I thought you were listing it.

If I were listing it to sell, I would just throw it up there & let the buyer figure it out!!!

PS. Thanks for the encouragement everyone

I'm pretty sure this is an H and not a 96, for what it's worth. I've been looking, too, but still nothing. I know it looks nice on the shelf, though!
